Project Highlights

The Sao Vicente Mine was acquired in May 2010 and is located in western Mato Grosso State, Brazil, approximately 560 kilometres northwest of Cuiaba, the state capital, and approximately 50 kilometres northwest of the Sao Francisco Mine, within aprolific and historic gold-producing district. The Sao Vicente Mine can be accessed by road from Cuiaba, which is serviced by daily flights from a number of Brazilian cities. A power line connects the site to the regional grid and water is readily available.

The property consists of three contiguous mining concessions, covering approximately 29,000 hectares.  The Sao Vicente Mine is an open-pit, heap leach operation that currently involves two streams of processing that includes crushing-gravity gold recovery-heap leach ore (CGO) and run-of-mine heap leach ore (DLO). Enhanced process plant productivity and cost reduction will be the focus at the operation in 2012.
