Culture
Aura 360

Aura 360 Culture is the foundation that guides all of the Company’s decisions, translating our strategy into an integrated operating model. It is represented by a mandala composed of three rings:

  • Outer ring: our stakeholders;
  • Middle ring: our values;
  • Inner ring: our practices.

With decentralized management, Aura 360 Culture provides autonomy for local decisions, while continuous investment in internal leadership ensures cultural alignment and sustainable growth. This approach drives innovation, strengthens team dialogue, and fosters an environment where everyone thrives.

Aura 360 Actions

In 2024, we took a significant step by conducting our first company-wide organizational climate survey using the Great Place to Work (GPTW) methodology. We achieved a high participation rate, with 73% of employees responding — 968 forms and 1,670 comments. The overall result was extremely positive, with GPTW certification granted in every country where we operate. The structured feedback also allowed us to identify areas for improvement, leading to the development of a global action plan.

People First

Driven by Aura 360 Culture, three major initiatives were implemented in 2024 to reinforce our commitment to health and safety:

1.Safety Day, with a full stop of activities across operations to discuss safety;

2.Implementation of EHS Committees at management level, monitored by the Corporate Committee;

3.Implementation of Critical Risk Management governance.

Sustainability and Strategy

ESG Commitments

In 2024, we completed the compliance process for the World Gold Council’s RGMPs and CFGS, reaffirming our commitment to ethical and sustainable mining. This certification ensures our operations meet the highest standards of governance, social responsibility, and environmental protection — fostering transparency, minimizing negative impacts, and driving socioeconomic development in our regions of operation.

Aura is also a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact and participates in various associations and initiatives that reinforce our vision of responsible mining, generating value for all and earning market recognition through awards and distinctions.

Innovation and Technology

In 2024, Aura’s Innovation Program remained active at the unit level, where teams conducted their own campaigns and awards. This decentralization made the program more dynamic and adapted to each operation’s reality. The evaluation criteria remained: innovation level, simplicity, impact, and scalability.

Data and AI Journey

We advanced digitalization at Aranzazu, transitioning from manual processes to an intelligent system based on Python, artificial intelligence, and Node-RED integration. The solution enables real-time analysis, automated recommendations, and remote control via chatbot. The next steps include automating the entire flotation and grinding circuit, promoting autonomy, efficiency, and operational reliability.

Communities

Community Relations

To generate positive and lasting impact, we invest in infrastructure and essential services such as sanitation, electricity, and healthcare in remote areas, maintaining active communication channels to ensure continuous dialogue and meet community needs.

Local Technical Training

In 2024, the Operator Training School in Borborema trained local residents in Currais Novos (Rio Grande do Norte) through a free mining course. Of the 60 students selected, 63% were hired by the company, strengthening the local economy and promoting social inclusion and sustainable development.

Supplier Development Program

In 2024, the Apoena unit launched an innovative Supplier Development Cycle to train micro and small entrepreneurs in Pontes e Lacerda, helping drive local socioeconomic development, enhance competitiveness, and foster regional innovation.

GHG Emissions

We reassessed the GHG emission inventories of our units between 2020 and 2024, aligned with the GHG Protocol guidelines, to enhance our strategy in this area.
